INSPIRATION
The Inspiration Behind the Design
Every line of this figure began with a single question: what if the mightiest majesty stood guard over the greatest wealth? The answer is this image — Guan Yu, brimming with truth and courage, enthroned above Pixiu, the celestial creature that swallows riches from every direction and never lets them flow away. When the supreme protector rides the supreme summoner of wealth, two great auspices fuse into one: the fortune that flows in is fiercely guarded, and the majesty that radiates outward draws ever more fortune home.
Guan Yu is rendered in a contemporary form, gentle yet commanding, detailed in three precious metals: the gold of abundance upon Pixiu, pure silver upon the Green Dragon Crescent Blade at his side, and warm pink gold upon his robes — like a flame of faith that never dies. A blooming lotus mandala frames the face of the box, a sign of the pure intention behind this creation.
And above all, the moment of consecration was set for the supremely auspicious day of 8 August 2026 — the very birthday of Guan Yu himself. The twin eights echo the symbol of endless abundance. On the one day of the year when Guan Yu's power is at its fullest — and on that day alone — the power of faith was deemed worthy of being awakened within the Supreme Majesty, Supreme Fortune edition.

The Story of Guan Yu
From the loyal general of the Three Kingdoms to the great god who has protected the faithful for nearly two thousand years
Guan Yu, revered as Guan Gong (關公), was the great general of the Three Kingdoms era, remembered as a man who held truth above life itself. When fate tore him from his sworn brother Liu Bei, Cao Cao showered him with treasure, rank, and the legendary steed Red Hare to win his heart — yet Guan Yu returned every gift without a backward glance and rode through five guarded passes to keep the oath he had sworn to his brothers. It is this loyalty, which no fortune could ever buy, that has led every generation since to revere him above any other general in history.
After his passing, reverence for Guan Yu's virtue did not fade — it spread ever wider. Imperial courts of successive dynasties enthroned him as the great god Guan Sheng Di Jun (關聖帝君), the sacred god of war, while merchants across the land worshipped him as 武財神, the Martial God of Wealth, believing that riches earned beneath his majesty are honest riches — steadfast, and beyond any man's daring to seize.
The blessings and sacred power of Guan Yu are witnessed by devotees across Asia: protection from danger and misfortune, majesty that commands respect, advancement in one's calling, and honest, flourishing trade. His shrines and temples draw the faithful from every walk of life — business owners, officials, police, soldiers, and everyday people seeking an unshakeable refuge for the heart.
The eighth day of the eighth month each year is honoured as the birthday of Guan Yu, when devotees hold grand ceremonies in remembrance of his majesty — and prayers offered on this day are believed to carry extraordinary power. The Guan Yu riding Pixiu, Supreme Majesty Supreme Fortune edition, was therefore consecrated on this most auspicious of days, so that its keepers receive the fullest measure of his majesty in the year.

Riw Jit Samphat
Riw Jit Samphat (Panrawat Limrattana-aporn), a former actor, is known across Thailand as a renowned psychic gifted with an extraordinary sixth sense, famed for bringing peace to suffering spirits through a celebrated television programme. Riw has spoken of possessing this special perception since childhood — and of first beholding a vision of Guan Yu while still in primary school. His devotion to the god has remained with him ever since.
Moved by that faith, Riw founded the Ariya Guan Yu Shrine (วิหารองค์อริยะเจ้ากวนอู) in Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi, operated by the non-profit Ariya Guan Yu Shrine Foundation. Within stands a brass figure of Guan Yu rising six metres tall, alongside a shrine of Guanyin and a hall of the Buddha of Loving-Kindness. The shrine welcomes devotees to pay homage and pray for career, wealth, and health — with no spirit mediumship or fortune-telling of any kind. Today, hundreds to thousands of devotees, Thai and international alike, make the journey each day.
