Ajarn Noo Kanpai is the Thai Sak Yant master who brought sacred Thai tattooing to worldwide attention after tattooing Angelina Jolie's Ha Thaew (five rows) yantra in 2003. He still tattoos personally at his studio in Pathum Thani, just north of Bangkok, and creates sacred amulets with Highness Amulet.

Biography
Ajarn Noo was born into a modest family in Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi. According to the Bangkok Post, his grandfather, a former monk, left him a book of Khmer-script spells, which he studied from childhood. He was ordained as a novice in Bang Bua Thong and later sought out revered monks to learn the art of Sak Yant.
After leaving the monkhood he opened his own studio in Pathum Thani. By the mid-1990s he was seeing more than a hundred people a day. In 2003 Angelina Jolie came for her Ha Thaew on the left shoulder blade, returning in 2004 for a tiger yantra on her lower back, and his name became known around the world.
