The Meaning of the Five-Row Yant
The Five-Row Yant is composed of five sacred kathas, inscribed as five rows of script, each bestowing a different blessing that together cover every side of life. By tradition these are: loving-kindness and popularity among people, luck and good fortune, success in one's work and career, escape from danger, and protection from all things evil. It is, in essence, an "all-blessings yant" in a single design.
Where It Is Traditionally Placed
The Five-Row Yant is most often placed at the nape of the neck, on the shoulder or on the left side of the back — positions held to be auspicious, and where the yant's slender, elongated lines look especially graceful. Many women choose this design too, for the delicate beauty of its script.
