In the world of Thai Sak Yant, one name comes to mind before any other: "Ajarn Noo Ganpai", the master behind the world-famous legend of the five-row yant. Devotees from Thailand and abroad — international celebrities among them — travel specifically to receive a Sak Yant from his hand.
Beginnings in Bang Bua Thong
Ajarn Noo was born in Bang Bua Thong district, Nonthaburi province, to a poor family, and his schooling ended at the fourth grade. But drawn since childhood to the occult sciences, sacred incantations, and yant script, he pursued his studies alone with tireless determination.
Ordination, Pilgrimage, and the Search for Knowledge
As a young man he entered the monkhood, studying the Dhamma alongside sacred incantations and ancient manuscripts, before setting out on pilgrimage across the country to apprentice himself to many renowned master monks, accumulating both the occult arts and the art of Sak Yant until he had mastered them thoroughly.
After leaving the monkhood, he founded his Sak Yant studio in Bang Khayaeng, Mueang district, Pathum Thani province — a destination for the faithful from every corner of the world to this day.
The Yants That Made a Global Name
The designs that made Ajarn Noo's name are the five-row yant, the turning tiger yant, and the turning deer yant — tattooed with a precision, refinement, and singular potency that earned him the title of "Master of Thailand" in the Sak Yant world.
Today, Ajarn Noo still receives Sak Yant devotees at his studio in Pathum Thani, and works with Highness Amulet to create sacred objects that fuse ancient science with contemporary design.
